Taking Indian startups to the US for exploring better market and potential investors
The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), has facilitated 25 high-potential Indian startups on the global stage in the USA under Leap Ahead Global Connect initiative. In the meantime, 13 of STPI-nurtured startups have recently been recognized with prestigious TiE50 Awards, showcasing India’s growing leadership in emerging technologies.
The Leap Ahead Initiative, a flagship program, having three key pillars – mentorship, funding, and global connections – was launched for the startups by STPI. As part of one of its pillars, Leap Ahead Global Connect, STPI crafted a strategic immersion to Silicon Valley, USA, which is designed to give global exposure to STPI startups and provide them funding opportunities. This initiative offered founders transformative experiences through focused sessions such as Fundraising Day and an intensive Startup Bootcamp, providing opportunities to pitch directly to leading U.S. venture capitalists, engage with renowned domain experts, and explore cross-border partnerships in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI, says, “STPI is playing a catalytic role in revolutionizing the Indian startup ecosystem by helping entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. Through its Leap Ahead Global Connect initiative, STPI is working to bridge the gap between Indian innovation and global opportunities. By enabling Indian startups to engage with global industry leaders, participate in insightful panel discussions, and pitch their ideas to investors, STPI is helping them effectively market themselves and access investment opportunities. Our mission goes beyond providing international exposure; it’s about showcasing India’s technological prowess and empowering startups to make their mark on the global stage.”

Also, STPI has further enabled Indian startups to engage with one of the largest global gatherings of entrepreneurs and global tech leaders at TiEcon 2025. Thirteen of STPI nurtured startups were recognized at the event with the prestigious TiE50 Awards for their disruptive contributions across various industries. These ventures are at the forefront of India’s deep-tech evolution, leveraging advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and blockchain to drive meaningful innovation.
The event has featured speakers such as Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen, CEO, Adobe; Lip-Bu Tan, CEO, Intel Corporation; and Vasu Jakkal, Corporate VP, Microsoft, alongside industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs, who shared insights on global startup ecosystem, digital transformation, and economic growth.
Krishnkant Chaturvedi, Director & CEO, Kommon School, views, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to STPI for orchestrating this transformative journey to Silicon Valley and facilitating invaluable engagements with leading venture capitalists and investors. This initiative has broadened our horizons providing critical insights into the U.S. market, equipping us to strategically position our startup for global expansion.
