Mumbai-headquartered RP tech, one of India’s leading IT distributors, has showcased its comprehensive distribution prowess in the field of embedded semiconductor components & systems at the recently held Electronica 2024 at Greater Noida Expo Centre. RP tech got a sprawling and a truly swanky pavilion at the Electronica 2024, which was co-located with SEMICON India and productronica India Expo.
Apart from RP tech, a number of Indian and foreign origin electronic distribution companies participated at the Expo. The notable Indian semiconductor component distributors, which showcased their products & solutions at the Expo, included Rabyte, Ramakrishna Electro Components, Millennium Semiconductors, Campus component and Om Electronic Corporation. While, Mouse Electronics is among many foreign origin electronic component distributors, which participated at the Electronica 2024.
For the mainstream IT distributor like RP tech, the diversification into the embedded systems looks to be a sensible one. Today, the company distributes semiconductor components & systems from over 20 world renowned vendors including Micron, ADATA Industrial, Elmos Semiconductor, Intel, nVIDIA, EDOM Technology and Nidec.

India has witnessed a rapid rise and growth of a large number of electronic product design and manufacturing companies. Be it consumer durables, automobiles, industrial IoT, utility measuring devices or medical equipment, they all require semiconductor components & systems – something RP tech finds quite a lucrative proposition.
In an interaction with Digital Edge, Rajesh Goenka, CEO, RP tech, said, “Ever since a concerted focus has been shed on local manufacturing of tech-enabled products in India, the domestic market for embedded systems has greatly opened up. And that made us create a separate business unit within the wider umbrella of RP tech, which addresses the burgeoning market for embedded components & systems. Vishwas Kanwar heads the business unit for the embedded vertical.”
With regard to participating in the Expo, Goenka opined, “This year’s Electronica Expo is very lively. We’ve got a large number of inquisitive buyers from local manufacturing companies, which are operational in different parts of the country. The footfalls have been very encouraging.”
Interestingly, Electronica 2024 wore an extra charm. Partly because the Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, himself took an active participation at the event. He exhorted the Indian and global semiconductor manufactures and supply chain entities to expedite their operations in elevating the Indian electronic market to the next levels of growth and excellence.
