KR Naik, Executive Chairman of Smartlink Holding, inaugurates Synegra EMS’ state-of-the-art SMT line at the manufacturing facilities in Goa
For KR Naik, the Executive Chairman of Smartlink Holding, India has always beckoned with immense promise with respect to manufacturing computer networking products. From his manufacturing facilities in Goa, he has taken India on the path of serious manufacturing of hardware products. For over three decades he has immensely enriched the hardware manufacturing culture of the country.
Now, in a new development, Synegra EMS Ltd, the manufacturing arm of his parent company (Smartlink Holding), has commissioned yet another state-of-the-art FUJI NXT III SMT (surface mount technology) lines at its Goa manufacturing centres. Two years back, Synegra imported the FUJI NXT III SMT line as its existing SMT lines had begun to be phased out.
The company deeply appreciates the Government of India’s decision for making the imports of machinery for manufacturing computer networking products easy and cost-efficient. Due to the governmental support for the PLI (production linked incentive) schemes and lowering of the basic customs duties on some of the products, Synegra has gone ahead with procuring and installing the latest SMT line at its Goa facilities.

“This is a proud moment for adding one more SMT line within a span of two years. We could do this because of the huge governmental support we’ve got. We see a big opportunity coming in for manufacturing all kinds of computer networking products in India. We’re elated by the fact that Made-in-India products get very warm acceptance in the Indian market. Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s call for Vocal-for-Local has encouraged the local manufacturing of networking products & systems in the country”, said Naik.
Vijay Rane, Factory Head, Synegra EMS, viewed, “We’ve added one more SMT line FUJI NXT III for better operation as both the machines are multi-functional modular placing machines. These high-production SMT lines have built-in head exchange function and support machine configurability and scalability. It runs a self-diagnosis function called auto & hybrid calibration to ensure high placement accuracy.”
Synegra EMS deals in manufacturing all kinds of active products like motherboards, switches, Wi-Fi and FTTH from its Goa factories. While, Telesmart SCS, the other subsidiary of Smartlink Holding, has been into the making of all kinds of passive products. Both Synegra EMS and Telesmart SCS function as reliable OEMs for many of electronic hardware brands in India and beyond. Digisol Systems, on the other hand, is the subsidiary of Smartlink Holding for selling its own-branded active and passive networking products in the Indian market.
