Iris Waves secures India’s top EdTech company with Fortinet next generation firewall systems
Digital Edge Bureau 11 Jun, 2023 0 comment(s)The Delhi-based systems and network integrator (SNI) and a new-age cloud-driven IT solutions provider, Iris Waves, has secured one of India’s top notch EdTech companies – running over 60 branches spread across the country – by deploying FortiGate next generation firewall (NGFW) systems. These firewall systems from Fortinet, one of the world’s leading network security products & systems companies, also carry SD-WAN (software defined WAN) capability that makes the intra-organizational connectivity assured, efficient and safe.
“Fortinet has been our key OEM partner for a long time. We greatly respect it for the kind of network security products it offers, which secure today’s enterprises & organizations”, said Himanshu Chawla, CEO & Co Founder and Technology Evangelist at Iris Waves Pvt Ltd. “Iris Waves with its extended expertise and best practices helps in removing connectivity and security agonies of organizations with right kind of solutions. In the first go, over 15 locations have been deployed with the FortiGate NGFW systems. We expect further orders to fall in line to secure the remaining 55 locations of the EdTech entity soon,” added Chawla.
The Noida-headquartered EdTech conglomerate, having its head office at Noida and over 60 branches spread pan India, houses over 1.4 million online students. It helps students prepare for IIT-JEE and other competitive exams. The students enrolled with the EdTech entity take virtual classes using internet as the communication medium. Therefore, the need for efficient and assured internet with security provision and monitoring capability has deeply been required.
Manish Singh, Business Manager, Iris Waves said, “The EdTech enterprise had been facing many issues like net delinquencies at its centers and headquarters based out of Noida. The frequent downing of net performance has been one of the major issues confronted by the EdTech firm. Now, with the installations of FortiGate NGFWs, having a default SD-WAN feature, the network connectivity and security issues have largely been resolved.
“It took us over two months time in deploying FortiGate NGFWs with the EdTech company. Today, it stands well connected and secured with a high-level of network performance and efficiency. Also, we’ve deployed the FortiGate NGFW systems along with the pre-existing Cisco network routers. The institute can now control and monitor every location with respect to internet protocols, security and performance from its centralized Noida headquarters,” added Singh.
