Iris Global expands its distribution frontiers, supplies Rs 18 Crore worth of Lenovo tablets to Mauritius
Digital Edge Bureau 17 Feb, 2021 0 comment(s)Close on the heels of supplying large consignments of Lenovo tablets to UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) in Cambodia, Sanjiv Krishen led Iris Global Services, has now ventured into India’s western frontiers with its distribution operations. Yes, in a new development, Iris Global Services – working with its Hyderabad-based partner, Akshara Enterprises – has supplied thousands of Lenovo tablets worth Rs 18 Crore to the education institutions in Mauritius.
These Lenovo tablets shipped would be deployed towards meeting Mauritius Government’s program of empowering its Nation’s Education Systems with automation. The adoption of ICT in education would facilitate the in-class teaching-learning processes. Moreover, for Iris Global Services, the successful execution of this impressive export order has elevated its growing image further for handling challenging projects even beyond India’s borders.
“Though the tender was a huge one, we’ve been able to execute the order quite successfully. This order came through our partner Akshara Enterprises, which seamlessly worked with us. I’m happy with the kind of efficiency with which Lenovo tablets have been delivered to the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius”, said Sanjiv Krishen, Chairman, Iris Global Services.
From the Indian side, all the arrangements were made by the Noida-based public sector undertaking, EdCIL (Educational Consultants India Limited), and executed by Akshara Enterprises, one of Iris Global Services’ partners. The program was under a bilateral agreement between India and Mauritius with the funding coming in from the Government of India (GoI).

The Rs 18 Crore portion of the tender was structured by Iris Global Services, which not only helped in the procurement, but also in reaching an agreement for opening up of an Escrow account, thereafter, executing the export commitment for the supply of the tablets.
