InstaSafe launches free Zero Trust assessment tool to analyse organizational security readiness
Digital Edge Bureau 12 Jul, 2021 0 comment(s)InstaSafe has announced the launch of its free consultative Zero Trust security assessment tool, which has been designed to determine the security readiness of modern enterprise security setups, and make recommendations for implementing a Zero Trust model.
As per InstaSafe, operationalizing a Zero Trust security setup has become the top priority for companies due to increasing mobility of applications and workforces outside the confines of offices or on-premise data centres. As such, the actual implementation process for a true Zero Trust Model can be a tedious task.
Sandip Panda, CEO, InstaSafe, and a Member of the Cloud Security Alliance, said, “What makes the InstaSafe Zero Trust assessment tool unique is its commitment towards pushing forth real actionable recommendations for implementing a Zero Trust model without pushing forth particular products or services. We’ve received an overtly positive response from early adopters of this initiative in the CIO and CISO community, and are confident that this initiative will bring companies a step closer in their Zero Trust journey”.

Most security vendors lay forth the claim of implementing Zero Trust in an organisation without assessing their security readiness and recommending the right path to a Zero Trust approach. For some other enterprise, they may be well along the line of a Zero Trust Model, but may have a few chinks in their armour that have been left unattended.
Prasad T, CISO, InstaSafe, and the brain behind this initiative, commented, “Organizations are still apprehensive when it comes to a full fledged implementation of a Zero Trust model. This is partly due to the lack of awareness when it comes to knowing what exactly encompasses Zero Trust, what are the underlying concepts and how they are achieved, and what technologies are enabling it. Through our free assessment tool, we wish to set the base for enterprises to explore their security readiness, and we also recommend corrective measures that can bring security teams closer to the goal of a true Zero Trust Model”.
InstaSafe’s free Zero Trust assessment tool uses a combination of queries curated by cybersecurity experts to gauge the security posture of an enterprise. The queries range across an entire spectrum of network, application permissions and types, environments, users, devices, and access policies. Using a multitude of data points based on authentication measures, permissions, visibility, encryption, etc, the respondent, once done with the queries, receives a personalised report that includes key points on the current security setup, their progress towards a Zero Trust Model, and what more can be done to accelerate the progress.
By expanding their scope beyond security solutions, and opting to start with a unique consultative approach that makes enterprises understand where they are lacking in terms of vulnerabilities, and what can be done to avoid these vulnerabilities, InstaSafe hopes to fill up the gap when it comes to a good understanding of Zero Trust enabling technologies. Based on the recommendations, the respondents have an option of getting in touch with the InstaSafe team of experts to seek further guidance in implementing Zero Trust.
