ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled the Strix Impact III high-precision gaming mouse, the latest addition to the semi-ambidextrous ROG Strix Impact series of pointing devices. This iteration packs essential features that make it an ideal weapon for FPS (first-person shooter) gaming. Its shape has been optimized to fit all grip types and the new design offers significant weight reduction, dropping from 79 grams to just 59 grams for fast maneuverability.
The Strix Impact III is now also equipped with the extremely soft and flexible ROG Paracord and 100 percent PTFE (Teflon) mouse feet for smoother glides. A unique mechanical button-tension system enables instant button actuation, while specially contoured recesses on the L/R buttons allow players to hit the perfect spot with every click. A built-in 12,000-dpi optical sensor featuring best-in-class 1% CPI deviation tracks every mouse movement with unmatched precision.
The Strix Impact III retains the semi-ambidextrous shape of its stablemates but is slightly longer to comfortably accommodate all grip styles–palm, claw or fingertip. It’s much lighter, too, thanks to a hollow internal design that drastically cuts weight down to just 59 grams, making long hours of swift swipes and movements an absolute breeze for players. The 12,000-dpi sensor delivers an incredibly low 1% CPI deviation, 1000 Hz polling rate, and tracks at up to 300 ips with maximum acceleration of 35 g for superfast response and accurate control.
The flexible ROG Paracord and 100 percent PTFE mouse feet minimize snags and drag to provide ultrasmooth glides and excellent control. The Strix Impact III employs a mechanical button-tension system with zero-gap between the buttons and mouse switches to guarantee near-zero click latency. Additionally, specially contoured recesses on the L/R buttons are designed to help the fingers of users naturally settle into the sweet spot of the micro switch.
The ROG Micro Switches in Strix Impact III feature a 70-million-click lifespan and a gold-plated electro-junction to improve durability. Each individual switch adheres to strict ROG manufacturing standards to keep force deviation within +/- 5 gram-force for a consistent click feel. The ROG-exclusive push-fit switch socket design makes it easy to swap compatible 3-pin mechanical switches — simply drop the switches in to tailor operating force and feedback to preference, or replace worn or broken switches.
The Strix Impact III is priced at an MRP of Rs 5,999, and will be available from April 2023 across authorized ASUS stores, partners and major online stores.
